ASSESSING UNDERSTANDING

Grades I-VIII
As per CBSE circular [Circular No.: Acad-05/2017], the assessment structure is as follows:
Scholatic Area
- There will be written assessments—2 periodic tests (PT1, PT2), a half-yearly examination, and an annual examination.

- Each Periodic Assessment (PA) will comprise of the following:

- Periodic Test (PT) will carry 20 marks, which will then be scaled down to 10.
- Activities will include reading and recitation for Hindi and English and project/class activity for other subjects.
- Notebook maintenance will be assessed for each PA, out of 5 marks (twice a session). It will include the following aspects:
1.Regularity and Punctuality (submission of homework/classwork) – 3 marks
2.Neatness – 1 mark
3.Notebook upkeep (condition of the notebook) – 1 mark
Co-Scholastic Activities
Children are assessed on a 3-point grading scale (A-C), twice per session.

Grades IX-XII
