Grades I-VIII

As per CBSE circular [Circular No.: Acad-05/2017], the assessment structure is as follows:

  • There will be written assessments - 2 Periodic Tests (PT1, PT2), Half-yearly and Annual Examination.

  • Each Periodic Assessment (PA) will comprise of the following:

  • Periodic Test (PT) will comprise of 20 marks and then will be converted to 10.
  • Activity will comprise of Reading and Recitation for Hindi and English; and Project/Class-activity for other subjects.
  • Notebook maintenance will be assessed for each PA, out of 5 marks (twice a session). It will comprise of the following aspects:
  1. Regularity and Punctuality (submission of homework/ class-work) – 3 marks
  2. Neatness – 1 mark
  3. Notebook upkeep (condition of the notebook) – 1 mark

Children are assessed on a 3-point grading scale (A-C), twice in a session.
